
Initiators Recover-E® Program
The Recover-E® Program is established in 2013 and was a joint initiative between Royal HaskoningDHV and SiSo, who set up the Recover-E® Foundation for the sustainable reuse of depreciated ICT equipment. The foundation has involved other organisations to define and agree its objectives, described above:- The Recover-E® Foundation act as a chain manager and is supported by SiSo in the operation of the Recover-E® Program
- We worked in collaboration with the Delft University of Technology and other knowledge institutions in the field of innovation
- Our partnership with the Salvation Army is focused on reintegrating people who may never have been in the labour market, or out of it for some time
- Business users of ICT hardware achieve a transparent chain and can influence the future of their ICT products via the Recover E Foundation
- The Recover-E® Program and Foundation have been made possible through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

SiSo
SiSo provides integrated solutions and services to the depreciated or surplus IT equipment cycle, from acquisition to disposal. We are the foundation of the sustainable transition of ICT equipment and contribute to Social Responsibility to in any area of your company with our principle of ‘shared responsibility’ woven into everything we do. Our ambition is to protect the environment and contribute to the ICT development in Third World countries while achieving economic and social profitability.We position the removal of redundant equipment in a broader societal perspective, offering a way forward to governments and industries within Europe who want to transition to a sustainable society. Our approach is consistent with current developments in re-examining the value chains that form the basis of a circular economy.
The technology industry can play a major role in retaining valuable products and raw materials for reuse, and SiSo is convinced that society is ready for the economy to work in a more efficient, sustainable and socially responsible way by connecting various ‘market players together.
We received the ‘most sustainable company’ of Flevoland* award for its activities in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in 2007, and were nominated best company of Almere City in 2010.
*Flevoland is a province of the Netherlands of which Almere is its largest city.
